  • This topic is totally depressing. I don't know what I was thinking. Right now I am compiling the history of the Catholic Church Abuse Scandal. And it is just SO sad. And frustrating.

You know, I am usually a live and let live kind of person. But the more I read about this sex abuse scandal (and not just from the popular press - I've been searching out more balanced sources since NBC and its ilk are usually not wholly impartial), the angrier I get at the Church.

I am an athiest. And never happier to be one. But just thinking about the evils that have been perpetuated by organized religion sets my blood to boiling.

Oh well - no rant today. I am too drained. I've just read about 200 pages of information about the Catholic Church mess.

On a positive note, I finished my editing this morning, before my first class. I knew there was a reason that I liked getting to school early.

    Anyway, back to the research.

  • I know what you mean, I believe in reincarnation, and I think there are many things I don't know about, but I don't say "god" or anything, I just know the universe is teaching me lessons I'm not wanting to learn, and all of that. ;) There is so many back doors and secrets and hidden "inspired" works in the catholic church it's scary...I mean...for awhile most of the country's had ONE religion they had to believe in, and King's and priest were changing everything to what they wanted. I just think organized religion cause way too many problems, within the emotional being of a person following a religion, and with the world in general.  ok...I'll shut up now. :)

  • 200 pages about the Catholic Church?  For some reason I find it hard to read about things I disagree with.
