  • i like to put them in the microwave for 15 seconds- they expand and get all crazy looking- and then taste like toasted marshmallows

  • Good to know I don't have OCD for real.  I was beginning to wonder... hehe.

  • I've never had a Peep.  Not even when I was in the town where they made them.  But now I know what to bring the next time we meet.

  • So the former peep eaters (know as diabetics) can continue to enjoy them

For the records bought a double pack today of them (purple thou)

  • I look at Peeps in the store but I never buy.  I have been inspired by this entry to purchase a pack next time!  They are quite charming in a marshmellowy way...

  • I just bought some peeps.  They'll be ready for consumption in August.  Crunchy - that's how I likes my peeps.

  • I cannot stand peeps. Every year when I seem them I want to run away screaming. I think someone who is more talented than I should make a horror film about peeps.

oh and i don't dislike them simply because they're creepy looking (they are you know), but because I can't stand marshmellows.

  • I  tried the sugar-free ones - Phoenix was one of their test markets, and I happened to be in the right place at the right time for free samples (random Target near my house).  They're OK...although they taste the same, the texture wasn't quite right. I also wonder if the sugar free ones would ripen like the sugar-version do.  I need my peeps al dente.

and ryn - I am a member of the Peeps fan club!  The beanie-peep came from Target, along with the Peep basket.  (I"ve seen the peep baskets at various craft stores around town, and the beanie-peeps are back at Target this year.)

  • There's a Peeps fan club?

  • There is nothing like ripened Peeps. YUMMY!
