  • A wall…

They are building a WALL in Baghdad.

Have we learned anything from our history?

    Apparently, we haven’t.

    *sigh*

  • Friday!

We do not have casual day at my office.  And in fact, I am about to head to court to watch one of my colleagues argue a case that I’ve been helping with for weeks.  I am very much looking forward to seeing the outcome.  However, that also means that I am wearing a suit.  I’d much rather be wearing my black corduroy jeans and a cute purple & black top…but, even if I didn’t have to go to court, I’d still not be able to wear my jeans.

    Grrr.

As is par for me, while I am aware of the tragedy in Virginia, I am refraining from commenting about it, since it has been beaten nearly to death by the media already.

Yes, in the best tradition of fiddling while Rome burns, I am going to focus on trivialities.  Aren’t you happy to see that some things never change?

So, I am torn.  As I said, I have to go to court today.  The trial is at 2:30, and should be out by 4:30.  It is in a town about 10 miles from here, and there is a great yarn store there.  AND they are having a sale.  I am VERY tempted to go over there after the trial.  Not because I need yarn, you understand…but because it is on sale.  And, well, I am not a woman to resist a sale.  At least not easily.  Plus, they just got in an order of light up crochet hooks – I’ve been waiting for these to come out for ages…now I can take one to the movie theater and really annoy everyone by crocheting during a movie!!

Yeah, that new hook is pretty freakin’ cool.  I NEED several.  Maybe if I just get some hooks?  (Yeah, like I have the self-control to go into a yarn store and not buy yarn.  Especially when it is on sale!)

Ok…outta here.  Must go look all lawyerly and stuff.

You think the Judge might be offended if I crochet in the courtroom?  ;)
